Cells, laboratory and sourcing

You are entitled to know exactly what is being administered, where it came from and who certified it. Everything on this page is documented, and the documents are available on request.

What we use

Our cells are supplied by LCELLS, S.A. de C.V. — the LCells Bank laboratory (lcells.com) — rather than processed on site. That separation matters: the laboratory is independently accountable for the quality of what it produces, holds its own COFEPRIS health licence and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and each batch arrives with its own documentation.

The same laboratory also supplies acellular topical preparations — conditioned media enriched with exosomes and growth factors from mesenchymal stem cell cultures, without the cells themselves. In the aesthetic, hair and sexual-health programmes these are worked into the skin, scalp or intimate tissue with microneedling. They are applied topically, not injected.

The manufacturer's own product data puts total protein content at roughly 4.5 to 5.9 mg per 6 ml vial across the preparations — the maker's figures, not measurements taken here. An independent characterisation of the material by CIATEJ, a public research centre in Jalisco, is available on request. These preparations do not hold a COFEPRIS registration of their own, and we state that rather than imply otherwise.

Where a figure cannot be verified from that documentation, we do not publish it. Viability percentages and cell counts quoted without a batch record behind them are marketing, not data.

Stem cells and exosomes are not the same thing

Stem cells are living cells capable of dividing and differentiating into other cell types. Exosomes are the small signalling vesicles those cells release — they carry the chemical messages but do not themselves replicate.

Which is appropriate depends on the tissue and the objective. Neither is universally superior, despite how they are sometimes marketed, and your physician will explain the reasoning for your specific protocol rather than defaulting to whichever is more expensive.

Regulatory position

Regenerative treatments are permitted in Mexico under COFEPRIS, the federal health regulator, at clinics holding the appropriate licence. Our licence number appears in the footer of every page on this site.

This is a different regulatory situation from the United States, where most such therapies remain restricted to clinical trials. That difference in access is the reason patients travel — but it is also why the therapies described here are not FDA-approved for these conditions, and we state that plainly rather than in small print.

Safety

Treatment is outpatient and administered by a licensed physician. As with any injection or infusion there are risks, including infection at the injection site, transient inflammatory response and, with intravenous administration, reaction to the infusion itself. These are discussed with you individually before you consent, not summarised on a webpage.

Documents

Laboratory certification and batch documentation are available to any patient who asks, before treatment rather than after. If a clinic will not show you these, that is a reason to walk away.
