Exosome and growth-factor therapy for hair loss

Scalp treatment for androgenetic alopecia and thinning, in men and women. Non-surgical, and only worth doing while the follicles are still alive.

What the treatment is

A preparation of exosomes and growth factors from mesenchymal stem cell cultures is worked into the affected areas of the scalp with microneedling, over a course of sessions. The signalling it carries is intended to improve the environment around follicles that are still present but producing thinner, weaker hair than they once did.

There are no live cells in this preparation, and it is applied to the scalp rather than injected. It does not create new follicles.

The entire premise depends on there being something left to work with.

How the treatment is applied to the scalp

A thin outer layer, the dermis beneath it, and the hair follicles rooted in it.

Who it helps

  • Androgenetic alopecia in men, early to moderate stages
  • Female pattern thinning with diffuse loss
  • Hair that has become finer and shorter rather than absent
  • Patients who want to support results after a transplant
  • Those who have used minoxidil or finasteride and want an additional approach

Where this stops working

Who it will not help

Complete follicular loss and scarring alopecia. Where a follicle has been destroyed — by scarring, burns, or many years of untreated progression — there is nothing for the treatment to stimulate. In those cases surgical transplantation is the appropriate conversation, with a different specialist.

We also decline where there is active scalp infection, an untreated endocrine cause of the loss, or alopecia areata in an active phase.

The protocol

Confirmed by the physician after reviewing your case, and fixed once you have been quoted. If the plan changes, the price does not change without your agreement.

The published price covers the full course rather than a single session. Maintenance sessions after the initial course are priced separately.

What to expect

Visible change is slow, because hair grows slowly. Most patients who respond notice reduced shedding first, then gradual thickening of existing hair over three to six months.

Results are not permanent. Androgenetic alopecia is a progressive condition and treating it does not stop the underlying process — maintenance is part of the plan, not an upsell added later.

What we do not promise
  • Regrowth in areas where the follicles are gone
  • A restored hairline
  • Permanent results without maintenance
  • That you can stop other treatments you are currently using
  • A specific number of hairs

Questions about this programme

It is a different thing entirely. A transplant moves follicles that exist; this supports follicles that are struggling. If your loss is advanced, a transplant is the honest answer and we will tell you so.

No, and generally you should not. This is intended to work alongside them rather than replace them. Tell the physician what you are using so the plan accounts for it.

Trichoscopy shows this directly, and photographs help. Areas that still produce fine, short hairs generally still have living follicles; areas that are completely smooth usually do not.

A few questions about your condition, reviewed by a physician at no cost. If regenerative therapy isn't right for your case, we will tell you that instead of selling you something.
