Two ways to cross

On foot. Leave your car on the US side near the San Ysidro pedestrian crossing and walk across. Our driver meets you on the Tijuana side and takes you to the clinic and back to the crossing afterward. This is the option most patients use, and the one we can make easiest for you. Your coordinator sends a recommended parking location once your appointment is booked.

By car. If you would rather drive your own car across, the crossing is yours to manage in both directions, including any wait at the border — we do not accompany vehicles. Pedestrian lines at San Ysidro are often quicker than vehicle lines, especially in the afternoon, which is part of why most patients choose to walk.

What the day looks like

1. You arrive at the agreed time — on foot with our driver meeting you, or by car on your own.
2. The physician reviews your case in person and confirms the protocol before anything is administered.
3. Treatment is carried out. Duration depends on the programme; your coordinator confirms timing when the appointment is booked.
4. You are given written aftercare instructions and the follow-up schedule before you leave.

Crossing back

Northbound queues at San Ysidro vary considerably by time of day and are usually worst in the late afternoon, for both pedestrian and vehicle lanes. If you are walking, your driver returns you to the crossing; your coordinator will suggest an appointment time that avoids the heaviest periods either way. Bring your passport or passport card — a driving licence alone is not sufficient for re-entry.

Where to stay

Patients travelling from further afield usually stay one night. Your coordinator can suggest nearby hotels once your travel dates are set. We do not take commission on accommodation bookings.

Concierge and coordination

Every patient works with one coordinator through the whole process, on top of the standard border pickup described above. They agree an appointment time that avoids the heaviest northbound queues, help you find a hotel if you are staying overnight, and move your imaging and records securely between you and the physician. Interpreting is available at every step — English, Spanish, Russian and French.

The concierge service is billed separately from the protocol price, quoted individually based on what you need. Is Tijuana safe

It is a fair question and deserves a direct answer rather than reassurance. Both locations sit in established, residential parts of the city, and the route from the border is a straightforward drive. Patients who use our transfer are accompanied throughout. We would give the same advice as for any large city: arrange transport in advance rather than improvising.
